For each of the 30 stocks listed above, the best indicator, the best strategy, and the resulting best performance are shown along with the relative strength (RS) based on the stock’s change in price over the testing period (ROC). The current signal, if any, and the latest price and date tested are also indicated. The results are listed in order of performance but also can be resorted based on any of the headings.
This report summarizes how many times (number of stocks) each of the 13 technical indicators and candles (as a group of 106 patterns) tested best using the strategies shown. The average performance (Avg Perf) and average price change over the testing period (Avg ROC) are also shown. The results are sorted on the how well an indicator performed over a “buy and hold” strategy (Perf – ROC), but they can be resorted based on any of the heading parameters. Note that candle patterns as a group ranked highest and was best 2 times while the Directional Movement Indicator was best 6 times. Also two of the indicators, BRK and MFI, never performed best for any of the stocks tested.
